Echeverias are easy to grow, needing very little water and care. They make excellent companion plants, thriving in containers, on awkward slopes, and in other tricky growing conditions. Because they produce many offsets, they can even be used as a lovely low-water groundcover.

Echeverias come in a vast palette of colors ranging from deep burgundy to vibrant green to frosty aqua blue and dusty pink. The leaves of their intricate rosettes can be ruffled or pointed, gently rounded or slender and almost square. Our collection of echeverias encompasses all of these marvelous variations.

Echeverias can be planted in very little soil. We love the way they’re used with other succulents and bromeliads to fill the gaps in rough-hewn stone stairs in this design by Christopher Reynolds of Reynolds-Sebastiani Design Services.
